This film introduces Japan Airlines’ model itineraries for overseas travel in Southeast Asia. In Manila, the capital of the Philippines, we encounter sights like the Malacanang Palace, the Baclaran Market and the bamboo pipe organ in Las Pinas Church. In Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, temples, dance dramas, mendicant priests, the Pasteur Institute, the floating market and Thai kick-boxing are introduced. Then it’s on by air to Ankor Wat. In Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, we see a rubber plantation and Central Station. In Singapore, the statue of Sir Stamford Raffles and the Botanical Gardens, and in Indonesia, Borobudur Temple and Jakarta’s Tropical Botanical Gardens are all introduced. Balinese music and dance are also shown.
