YIDFF 2019’s facts and figures are out! Over eight days from Oct 10th to 17th, 22,858 people attended the screenings of 176 films. A total of 142 guests and 325 press and industry participated in YIDFF 2019. According to questionnaire results, we had more first-time attendees and more press and industry members from overseas (82 registered) than ever before. The festival team is thrilled that newcomers are increasing in number, from around Japan and beyond.
Despite a major typhoon hitting the region during the weekend, audiences turned out en masse. A sincere thank you to them and all of you who made this festival possible.

The next edition of the YIDFF is scheduled for October 2021. We will announce the open call for YIDFF 2021 entries next year.
