Turning the page on a tumultuous 2017, the Yamagata team has welcomed the new year in serene but jubilant spirits.
In addition to preparations for YIDFF 2019, this year for us will be full of activity as a hub to support the richness of cinema and film culture. In Tokyo the biennial “Yamagata in Tokyo” festival Documentary Dream Show will be happening, while in Yamagata also we plan an array of screening events. The bustle of activity will hopefully raise anticipation towards the upcoming YIDFF in October 2019. We hope you can join us.
