2011-12-07 | | | KOBE Documentary Film Festival 2011: “Post 3.11” |
This year’s Kobe Documentary Film Festival presents a program that illuminates the path to recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake based on the experiences of the people of Kobe after the Great Hanshin Earthquake, as only the Kobe Planet Film Archive can do.
The unique line-up focusing upon films about the quake aftermath includes 4 works from YIDFF “Cinema with Us” project:
The Sound of the Waves
Fukushima: Memories of the Lost Landscape
Sendai Short Film Festival 311: Tomorrow
Record of the Quake Aftermath: Tohoku Korean School 2011.1.15–3.20
If you were unable to see these films in Yamagata, don’t miss this chance to catch them in Kobe! Catalogs for the “Cinema with Us” program will also be available for purchase at the festival venue.
