100 years have passed since the first Japanese settlers landed in Brazil. Wouldn’t you like to learn more about this fascinating country? This two-part program features a film screening and a talk from Brazilians living in Japan. The story of a Japanese family who emigrate to Brazil, directed by Yamasaki Tizuka, a third-generation Japanese Brazilian, Gaijin has won several awards including the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival.
