Last Farewell USSR

    Director: Alexander Rodnyansky
    UKRAINE / 1994 / Color / 35mm / 60 min

Summer 1994. The last soldiers of the former Soviet Army leave Eastern Germany. They are going home to the newly independent countries of the CIS. But are they returning from war or going off to battle? A film about the problem of dealing with 100 years of Russian history, revolution, anti-Semitism, Germans, and justice. The fate of the soldiers reflects all the wounds and unsettled accounts of the time we live in—after the balance of terror, the terror which has become unpredictable.
