Farshad
Fadaeian
Photographer and documentary filmmaker. Was born in 1947 and holds
a BA degree in Philosophy. Produced 17 documentaries and participated
in various Iranian and international film festivals. His works include:
Stone the Silent Mother (1987), Identity Card of a Forgotten
Factory (1990), Absal (1993), Golesh Menzel (1996),
At the School of Seyyed Gelich Ishan (1997). |
Fishnets, fishnets, and fishnets. The film follows the production
process of various types of nets, dazzling us with powerful images
of industry.
Director's
Statement
The way we see and how we combine, mix, and put together the elements
and factors of the subject and the happening, brings us closer to
the range in the kind of documentary which we have in mind. To me,
reality is as important as the way we look at it, a kind of look that
despite changes, will not lead to the destruction of the truth, but
will create a new reality.
