“Meditation” and “filmmaking” have something in common. I realized this when I met a monk from Thailand who arrived six years ago to spread Theravada Buddhism, living a modest and humble lifestyle in his Tokyo apartment. By filming the practice of Buddhism, a scientific study of the mind, this documentary tries to depict our inner spirit somewhere over and above the border between religion and film.
