2002-08-26 | “Post Fiction!” the <YAMAGATA+> Film Festival
Schedule

| 8/31–9/6 | 7–13 | 14–20 | 21–27 |

139 films and videos in 92 programs in one fell swoop

Saturday, August 31–Friday, September 27, 2002
(Box Higashi-nakano, Tokyo)

YIDFF has always held encore screenings in the years between festivals. This year’s program has been revamped into “Post Fiction!” The <YAMAGATA +> Film Festival, and will play in Tokyo and the Kansai region. “Post Fiction!” goes beyond the old lineup of International Competition and New Asian Currents selections from YIDFF 2001, adding new and related works for a lineup that is full of variety and sure to please. We hope our multi-dimensional programs will engender meetings with cinematic languages from all over the world and provide an alternative viewpoint into an increasingly confused contemporary society. It’s a festival to experience and to participate in, not just to watch!
