Iguchi Nami (Filmmaker)

Born in Tokyo in 1967. Her first independent film, Inuneko (8mm) (2001) took four years to make and won the Pia Film Festival’s Planning Award in 2001. She remade the film in 2004 as Inuneko (35mm) for her debut as a commercial film director, and won the Special Jury Prize, International Critics Prize, and Best Screenplay at the 22nd Torino International Film Festival. Her other films include Hito no sex warau na (2008) and Nishino yukihiko no koi to boken (2014). She has also directed the short films, Dare ka ga utatteru (2019) and Kodomo ga eiga o tsukuru toki (2021), as well as the mid-length Hidari te ni ki wo tsukero (2023).

Thaiddhi (Filmmaker)

Thaiddhi is a filmmaker from Yangon, Myanmar. He studied filmmaking at FAMU—The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague—and at the University of Arts and Culture, Yangon. In 2011, he co-founded the Wathann Film Festival, Myanmar’s first film festival. In 2013, he co-founded Third Floor Film Production, a company dedicated to the development and production of independent cinema in Myanmar. Active both behind the camera and in production, Thaiddhi continues working as a filmmaker in Myanmar.
