How to enter your entry

How to enter your entry online
1. Read the regulations carefully * Be sure to read through all of the regulations before submitting your entry.

3. Receive confirmation of your entry You will receive two automatic emails from YIDFF office with the following information:

  • Your entry number, URL for uploading video screener and other files, and your password
  • The content of your online entry form

4. Submit your video screener

Send your video screener to the Festival office by one of the following methods.

[1] Upload online
Access the URL which will be informed by the YIDFF Office via email. Upload your video screener at the “File Upload” page.

* Required compression settings:
  • Container: MP4 (H.264) only
  • Max File Size: 2GB
  • Max Bit Rate: 1.5 Mbps
  • Constant Frame Rate (CFR) (Variable Frame Rate (VFR) is NOT acceptable.)

    • [2] Send DVDs
    You may send two identical DVDs (region 0 / DVD-Video format) to the following address of the YIDFF Office.
    * Blu-ray disk is not acceptable.
    * Please do not use any labeling sticker on your DVD. Simply write your film's title and entry number on the face of the disk directly.

    * For entrants who send DVDs from abroad, we advise you to declare the following on the envelop: “No commercial value. For cultural purpose only.”

    • Press kit (English or Japanese)
    • Film stills (up to 3 different images)

    6. Inform the YIDFF office that your materials have been sent After sending your video screener, please send the following information by email to entry2019@yidff.jp

    a. Entry number
    b. Film title
    c. Name of entrant
    d. Contact details
    e. Date sent
    f. Delivery method

    7. Receive confirmation that your materials have been received
    • After we have received all of the materials required for entry and confirmed that the video screener has no problem for preview, we will send you a confirmation email.
    • If you do not receive confirmation within six weeks, please contact the Festival office.
