Enchanting Tohoku through Open-air Cinema!!

Presented by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, YIDFF, and Yamagin Prefectural Hall collaborate to install a giant screen outside Yamagata station’s west entrance to provide an open-air showing of moving pictures showcasing Tohoku’s vibrant art and culture as well as the natural charms of the region. In conjunction with the screening, the festival will stage a public round table between those that have utilized film to involve themselves in the community reconstruction and recovery of the Tohoku region, including Fukushima, since The Great East Japan Triple Disaster.
