[Festivals and prizes] Seoul

[Synopsis] A look at eight Asian rockers and rock groups who sing about social issues in their countries. They are charismatic and have strong characters. Our guide Kang Sane (40), introduces us to Yoon Do Hyun (31, Korea), Imawano Kiyoshiro (52, Japan), Joey Ayala (47, Philippines) and Grace Nono (Philippines), Slank (Indonesia), and Arirang (China). He meets these national heros, they touch each other’s souls, and make new songs of Asia with a firm eye on what’s happening in the world today.

Born 1958 in Tokyo. Parents are from Cheju Island, South Korea. Joined TV production company Telecom Japan in 1984, and has made many TV programs since.
