Indonesia under Japanese Military Rule

Japan declared that it was liberating the countries of Southeast Asia from the colonial rule of Europe. In most areas where Japanese military units were stationed, administration was brutal. Nihon Eiga Sha (Nichi-ei) had branch offices in Southeast Asia and made news reels there.
